7002-405. Lot of three measuring tools. A 6" ivory parallel rule marked "BAKER, 244 High Holborn, London" and has brass hinges. Some wear and yellowing, a few rust stains on backside. Charles Baker was a maker of measuring tools and microscopes who supposedly established in 1765, but it first appeared in the London street directories for 1851. And a JOHN TAYLOR SONS & SANTO CRIMP 8-3/4" boxwood sliding engineer's rule marked with velocity, grade, and discharge with center sliding section, presumably for drainage calculations. Also marked Elliot Bros, light wear and a few checks. Plus a uncommon CHAPIN STEPHENS No. 79-1/2 board scale rule, heavily stained and worn especially on outside, missing pins and has crack in one arm. Good- & better 75-150
