7102-206 RUGER CORP. pistol grip hand drill. In the 1940s, before it went into the gun business, the Ruger company of Southport, CT, made a line of tools, including this drill with an ergonomic pistol grip handle that was before its time. About half the red paint on the drive wheel is intact, and it has all its teeth and works smoothly. Smooth sheet metal handle without the cast decoration that marked some models, with a latch at bottom for storage of drill bits (bits not present). Marked with the Ruger name and "Patents Pending." Three jaw chuck with jaws up inside the chuck. Some surface rust spots and gear could use cleaning on underside. A very uncommon drill. Good (HNL693) 100-200
