Very nice rosewood infill and gunmetal lever cap marked -Tyzack Railway Arch 345 Old Street.- This would be Samuel Tyzack who was at that location around 1900. The high parts of the metal are very clean which contrasts with the japanning and gives the plane a very striking appearence. Tote handle is a little loose. One cutter. An attractive example. One is a sash that cuts a cove and ovolo with fillet and the other is a slipped bead. Both have various user stamps and are worn as typical for their age. Cuts one fourth inch bead and unusually shaped body and wedge with short cutter. Wedge has chipping at blade end and decorative carving on the side. The brass disk on the side looks modern. 6404-038 6404-038 Complex Scottish molding plane Quirked ogee-bead- 1 and one half inch profile and toe is stamped -James Reid Aberdeen- but I could not find the name and also marked J. 6404-040 6404-040 FENN side bead plane. Fenn began his career working for Holtzapffel and later became their largest competitor in the manufacture of ornamental turning lathes. Plus a DESERT brand camping water bag made by Canvas Specialty- Los Angeles- looks barely used with only slight dirt on front and has likely replacement plastic twine handle but cork may be original. During World War II Bausch and Lomb outsourced some of their production to American Optical under the -Ful Vue- brand. Clear lenses have the letter S in a circle at the top and a few scratches and missing removable side shields. Nose bridge and etched nosepads show slight wear. Esskay was apparently a meat manufacturer- worn but numbers mostly visible. And a very highly worn and stained rule- unable to read any numbers or maker on outside- pins bent.
